What's included in the Program?
Everything in this course follows the Product Journey Loop: seven stages that take you from defining your product's purpose to measuring whether it delivered. The loop is continuous.
Learn feeds back into Why and Outcomes every sprint, every quarter. Each session covers one or two stages. Each stage produces a specific artifact. By the end of the course, every stage of your loop has an entry based on your real product.

The Product Journey Loop!
Take a journey through the Product Journey Loop ® as you ideate and build a customer-centric product in an experiential and engaging class. Your learning will be facilitated by world-class facilitators experienced in Product Ownership with recent and relevant experience in the field.
Explore the Why and the Who
You start by defining what your product is and why it exists. The Elevator Pitch exercise forces you to articulate your product's purpose in a single statement. The Postcard from the Future exercise makes you name the specific change your customer will experience 18 months from now.
AI Tool: Product Context Builder — Generates a one-page Product Brief from three inputs: your product, your customer, your biggest challenge. This brief is your starting point for every session that follows
You identify who your product serves with enough specificity to make decisions. Customer Personas, Empathy Mapping, and Stakeholder Mapping move from templates into applied practice. The group builds these artifacts together for the group product. Between sessions, you build them for your individual capstone.
AI Tool: Customer Lens Tool — After building your empathy map manually, run your customer through this tool. It identifies gaps in your thinking-and-feeling quadrant and surfaces assumptions you haven't named.
Outcomes and Options
Most teams confuse what they ship with what changes for someone. This session introduces the COBI framework: Customer Outcome / Business Impact. You'll build a complete COBI statement with leading and lagging indicators for both sides. Then you'll connect it to your OKR structure.
AI Tool: COBI Builder — Stress-tests your COBI statement for output-disguised-as-outcome, indicator quality, and causal alignment between your Customer Outcome and Business Impact. Ends with one probing question specific to your statement.
You have a COBI. Now you generate the options that could get you there. Impact Mapping traces from goal to actor to behavior change to deliverable. Story Mapping decomposes your roadmap into a release plan. Both techniques force you to justify every item in your backlog by tracing it back to an outcome.
AI Tools: Impact Mapping Assistant — Generates a first-pass impact map from your goal and actor list, then challenges each impact: is this what the actor actually needs, or what you assume they need? Story Map Reviewer — Evaluates your story map structure and flags backbone gaps, missing user types, and stories that don't trace back to an outcome.
Deliver and Measure
You decompose your story map into epics and user stories. You learn the INVEST criteria for well-formed stories and write acceptance criteria in Given/When/Then format. The Definition of Done exercise establishes the quality standard your team commits to before any work ships.
AI Tools: Epic and Story Writer — Generates epics and stories from your inputs, then flags weak "so that" clauses, vague acceptance criteria, and stories that are tasks in disguise. Definition of Done Auditor — Reviews your DoD against common gaps and flags items that are aspirational rather than verifiable.
You close the loop. The measurement session connects your COBI indicators to the metrics you'll track in production. The capstone presentation is your certification evidence: a complete product strategy built on your real product, covering every stage of the Product Journey Loop.
AI Tools: Metrics Challenger — Pressure-tests your measurement plan for vanity metrics, missing leading indicators, and metrics that don't connect to your COBI. Action Plan Generator — Produces a 30/60/90-day action plan based on what you built during the course.
